What was the most memorable project you worked on this year?

Sean

Tom WilliamsOut Of Nowhere. I’ve been working with Tom for years, always a delight, and this album is an intimate window into his life.

Kobi

Most memorable project this year has been the film Goodbye June directed by Kate Winslet. The movie is out on Netflix on Christmas Eve and will make you laugh, cry and hug your family members. The crew was a joy to have in our Mix Stage, and everyone was so passionate about the project. Also, the end credit song performed by Gregory Porter was recorded in-house and is an emotional soulful ballad.

Alex W.

It has to be The Beatles Anthology, so many beautiful tunes, they are such a special band!

Tom

One Battle After Another. Bucket list moment to work on a Paul Thomas Anderson film and Jonny Greenwood’s score was incredible.

Christian

Jacob Alon's beautiful debut album. Also getting to work on The WEEKND + Jonny Greenwood albums.

Alex E.

For me it has to be transferring some Pink Floyd tapes which featured demos of the track Welcome To The Machine, and rough mixes / mix practices from the Wish You Were Here album. You can hear some of this on the recent 50th anniversary of the album release.

Chris

The most memorable project I've worked on this year, and hinted at last time, was collaborating with ?Gretsch guitars on the creation of the RS201 Studiomatic. Working with such a storied and prestigious brand to bring our vision of a great recording guitar into reality was a dream: once in a lifetime opportunity.

Marta

Working with Sleaford Mods for the recordings of their new album, never witnessed anyone with such a steady creative flow, can't wait for The Demise of Planet X to be out.

Marcus

Alexandre Desplat’s score for Frankenstein was one that really stood out to me. In my opinion one of the most beautiful compositions I’ve worked on thus far. I also had the pleasure of working on the latest Accusefive album this February with some of the loveliest musicians and an amazing engineering team.

Daniela

Hania Rani's Piano Concerto in Four Movements. A wonderful example of musicianship, attention to detail and intent through music. Sorriso Maroto’s Sorriso Eu gosto de Pagode - Homenagem ao Fundo de Quintal. Nothing can go wrong when you work on a Samba album (which just won the Latin Grammy yay!). Son Lux's score for Thunderbolts. The energy the band brought to the sessions was quite something, and the entire team was a joy to work with!

Miles

2025 was another year of memorable and varied sessions. Among others, I worked on new albums from Lola Young, Kylie Minogue, Richard Ashcroft and Nick Mason’s Saucer Full of Secrets. In addition, I mastered classic albums for Blur, Queen, The Beatles, Tori Amos, ABBA, The Cure, Mark Knopfler, The Who, Everything But The Girl and Faithless.

Louis

Joining the department just in time for the Studio One refit was an amazing experience. Seeing first-hand just how much work goes into a full studio refurbishment gave me a whole new appreciation for the craft. The dedication and expertise of the rest of the technical engineers is genuinely inspiring. They’ve built something incredible, and I’m proud to have played a small part alongside them.

Some of this year's music either written, recorded, mixed or mastered with us.

What was one of your favourite albums of 2025?

Sean

Tropical Fuck StormInflatable Graveyard (2024) - mad as a box of frogs.

Kobi

I have two favourite albums of 2025. The first is Blxxd & Fyah by Keznamdi which is a masterpiece in production and lyrics. It’s highly stimulating with topics such as colonialism, capitalism and the overuse of social media. The second one is the recently released sophomore album by Chronixx called Exile. It’s an album which transports us to a different realm and speaks to our spiritual energy. It invokes the feeling of listening to Dennis Brown and Bob Marley on certain songs, yet the artist always keeps his individuality.

Alex W.

Watch out for James Emmanuel, proper Soul!!!

Tom

Touch by Tortoise.

Christian

Lux by Rosalía.

Alex E.

I was really blown away by the new Geese album Getting Killed. These guys are great.

Chris

My favourite album of 2025 has to be Laura Jurd - Rites & Revelations. Wonderfully wonky jazz/folk.

Marta

Many, but I have to say that Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party by Hayley Williams is the ultimate 2025 masterpiece. She is up for a lot of awards next year, I hope she wins them all. Special mention for No Way to Relax When You Are on Fire by Dora Jar, the album came out in 2024, but I discovered it this year and I am absolutely obsessed with it.

Marcus

I only discovered the band Downward very recently, but their latest album is definitely a favourite from this year. On the other end of the spectrum, I also really dug Frost Children’s new album SISTER. Some absolute tunes in there!

Daniela

Rosalia's Lux, Natalia Lafourcade's Cancionera and Balimaya Project & Discos Pacífico Allstars' Calima.

Miles

An album that I kept returning to this year was one I mastered which was released at the end of 2024 and that is Opeth’s The Last Will & Testament. In the spring I also half-speed mastered Matt Berry’s excellent Heard Noises with Matt in attendance. This is a very different album to Opeth, but equally enjoyable.

Louis

Wretch 32’s HOME? is a masterpiece. The way it explores identity and what ‘home’ means in London really hit me. Growing up in North London with both Japanese and English heritage, I’ve always felt connected to different cultures at once, and this album captured that blend perfectly. It’s rare to hear a project that speaks so honestly to the layered identities that make London what it is.

Which new artist, band or release are you most excited about for 2026?

Sean

No answer unless I get wind of a new Rammstein or Nine Inch Nails release, then I may look forward…but excited….no.

Kobi

For 2026, I’m excited for the release of a movie called The Invite which was just final mixed on The Mix Stage. It stars Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde, who also directed. It’s funny but also deals with serious topics in marriage and friendship.

Alex W.

Can’t wait for people to hear Fink’s new album and Alexis Taylor’s. Beautiful artists!

Tom

Hostage Wallet, unheard of but not for long.

Christian

New artists mastered in Room 5 for 2026 - Tough Cookie (Island), Bad Nerves (Loosegroove), The North (Communion), Big truck (Marshall), Mitch Sanders (Island), overpass (Communion), Villanelle (FAE), Dead Dad’s Club (Fiction) and gala dragot.

Alex E.

There’s a band called World News who are doing some cool stuff… I think they’ve got an album coming out.

Chris

For 2026, I’m most excited for the release of the cast album from COVEN. A fantastic new musical based on the Pendle witch trials; a devastating story with incendiary music.

Marta

I have been waiting for a new Art School Girlfriend album for a while... I have been consuming Soft Landing since 2023, might 2026 be the lucky year?

Daniela

Whatever Massive Attack is cooking, because it's Massive Attack. Gustavo Dudamel and María Dueñas' next release (which I worked on in Studio One), need to hear that level of playing again. Lastly, I hope to catch Idrîsî Ensemble soon, still haven't been able to see them live.

Miles

Without doubt, the best album I was involved with in 2025 is one by a well-known American artist. However, it is embargoed, and I am not allowed to talk about as the client has yet to announce it. All I can say is keep an eye on the Abbey Road socials and all will be revealed as and when the embargo is lifted!

Louis

It’s not 2026 but I’m excited for Young Fire, Old Flame Deluxe Edition. Releasing on its 10-year anniversary (12/12/2025). An album that was a passing-of-the-torch moment between Wretch and Avelino.
