ANGEL STUDIOS

Revitalising a treasured studio for composers and artists. We're thrilled to keep the historic legacy of Angel alive, by reopening the studio in 2022 as part of the Abbey Road family.

Angel has hosted iconic TV and film score sessions including The Lion King, Downton Abbey, Wonka, Romeo & Juliet, One Battle After Another, Conclave, Alien: Romulus, Spectre, Moulin Rouge, Pride and Prejudice, Léon, Mufasa, Planet Earth and The Night Manager and recordings for The Cure, Adele, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Björk, Eartha Kitt, Mumford & Sons, Stormzy, Elton John, Placebo, Sam Smith, Massive Attack, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Florence + The Machine, Chris Martin, Kylie Minogue, One Direction and Robbie Williams.

This exceptional space is now managed by the Abbey Road team, offering the same bookings process and experience that you’d expect from a team so deeply committed to helping music makers realise the greatest potential in their vision. It also serves as the London base for Abbey Road Institute, allowing our students access to not one, but two of London’s best studios to explore and hone their craft.

The main area, with its iconic Seethly pipe organ and an exceptional fully restored 1917 Steinway Model D Concert Grand, is a highly flexible space. With two adjacent isolation booths and an additional carpeted booth, each offering its own unique sound, Angel One can be configured to suit any session. The isolation booths provide separation from the main room or can be opened up to further increase the size of the space, creating a truly unique and versatile environment for even the most demanding recording projects.
