Today marks the release of Jonathan Bree's latest single Waiting on the Moment. A composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer hailing from New Zealand, Bree shares his time between running the successful record label Lil Chief Records, which boasts a roster including the likes of Princess Chelsea, Ruby Suns and his previous band The Brunettes, whilst simultaneously recording and producing his own material.

Last year, Jonathan released his third studio album Sleepwalking which was heralded as "Bree's masterstroke", and critically praised as "exactly that kind of masterpiece that is a product of somebody who drinks, eats, and sleeps music". Stand out single You're So Cool from the album is an enchanting, orchestral pop record, with a music video just as hypnotising. Featuring his mysterious masked band, the video went on to be voted Best Music Video 2017 by Time Out New York, now amassing over four million views.

Dubbed "a break-up song you can dance to", Bree's latest single from his forthcoming album is a celebration of heartbreak and one that explores optimism in moving on and acting on your sense of loss. The single has been mastered by Christian Wright via our Online Mastering service, which is part of Abbey Road’s Production Hub range of tools for musicians and producers. Bree also makes use of our Waves Audio Plates Plugin to achieve its distinct, psychedelically-tinged '60s and '70s chamber pop sound.
