West End Stars Join Forces to Sing Flat 15B from Brand New Musical Halls

Written by musical director George Stroud and writer Jennifer Harrison, Halls is a brand-new musical set to open in London in 2021. Marking its launch, the Halls crew have teamed up with a group of West-End all-stars, performing the show's opening number Flat 15B.

Coming together to perform the song were Tarinn Callender (Come From Away), Olivia Moore (Waitress), Sophie Issacs (SIX), Alex Thomas-Scott (Dear Evan Hansen), Millie O’Connell (Be More Chill), Grace Mouat (& Juliet), and Cameron Burt (Mamma Mia!), along with newcomer Matteo Johnson, recent Guilford School of Acting graduate.

Watch the performance, which has musical supervision and orchestration from Richard Morris, and was mixed by Paul Pritchard from Abbey Road Studios.

It is yet to be confirmed whether any of the stars who took part in the lockdown performance will be in the show. However, it has been confirmed that the musical will cast at least two recent graduates, serving as a starting place for West-End performers.

The story of Halls brings together eight students from different cultural backgrounds and upbringings, as they are all allocated the same flat, Flat 15B. The musical engages in most of university’s biggest topics, from making new friends, to romance, the cost of student living to flatmate arguments, from freshers week to exam stress. The feel-good show is made up of up-beat, contemporary music and catchy lyrics, perfect for everyone.
