Five Abbey Road Red Alumni Nominated for the Business Cloud Inaugural Top 100

16th February 2021

Abbey Road Red is proud to share the news that five of our alumni are listed in Business Cloud’s inaugural top 130 list of media tech innovators in the UK.

It is a testament to their brilliant teams and technologies to be featured at this voting stage and we are hoping some or all will make it through to the top 100. If you agree with us that they should, you could help by casting your own vote here before Sunday at the end of this week (21 February). Our alumni featured are:

AI Music

AI Music is harnessing the power of AI to create dynamic music creation and adaptive audio technology that is being used by app developers and brands to create more engaging user experiences at scale. After securing a ground-breaking programmatic partnership with Cox Communications, Spark Foundry and Adswizz, it has received a number of award wins and nominations from The Drum, OMMA and Festival Of Media.

Audoo

Audoo is disrupting performance rights reporting through a monitoring device that performs real-time fingerprinting and automatically reports music plays in commercial venues, helping songwriters and artists get paid quick and more accurately, while also providing artists and rights holders with granular data on where tracks are being played. It won Midemlab 2020's Music Marketing and Analytics category and recently raised a £5.2m Series A funding round from investors including Björn Ulvaeus.

Lickd

Lickd provides an online platform enabling digital content creators to licence leading commercially released music for their YouTube videos, all done claims-free and at affordable rates scaled to their following. It has announced deals with several major and indie labels including Universal Music, Warner Music, EMPIRE, BMG, and Hospital Records.

LifeScore

LifeScore is the industry's first adaptive music platform which uses high quality recorded audio composed, recorded and performed by humans as the genesis of music in its adaptive engine, which is customisable to a number of different applications. Some of these have included powering the non-stop adaptive music in Twitchverse and providing the soundtrack for Twitch’s Emmy nominated series Artificial in which changes in chat sentiment were matched by changes in the music using LifeScore’s new AI analysis engine.

Vochlea

Vochlea is introducing novel audio-controlled interfaces for music creation. Their first product, the Dubler Studio Kit is a live voice to midi controller which translates vocal sounds into software instruments and unlocks the voice as a tool for music creation. It cleared its 2019 Kickstarter campaign target last year in under 24 hours raising 400% above its target and it has won multiple awards including Music Radar's Best High Tech Innovation at NAMM 2020.
