India Jordan’s 2020 EP For You was one of the success stories of last year and firmly established the producer as one of the brightest new talents in dance music. It was a record designed for ecstatic dancefloor release, which continues fittingly with the stunning follow up, Watch Out!
Mastered by Abbey Road's Alex Gordon,Watch Out! is ultra-high energy from the start with the rampaging beats of Only Said Enough. The pace rarely lets up, but for the quirky experimentalism of You Can’t Expect The Cars To Stop If You Haven’t Press The Button, which features sampled traffic lights and other found sounds. The EP concludes with the mesmerising one-two punch of Feirabend and And Groove, which Jordan mentioned "was made on the train up to Hull for a gig in February 2020 – one of the last shows I played pre-lockdown.”
Doncaster-born Jordan describes the new EP as “a homage to both physical and conceptual movement”. The project’s creation draws from Jordan's personal inspiration from long journeys and international travel, as well as bike rides and walks around London.
