Erin LeCount Joins Abbey Road's Equalise Programme to Champion the Next Generation of Music Makers

We are excited to welcome artist, songwriter and producer Erin LeCount as the latest collaborator on Equalise, our ongoing programme dedicated to empowering the next generation of female and non-binary music makers.

Through workshops, mentorship and hands-on studio experiences, Equalise is designed to help break down barriers to the music industry, creating opportunities for emerging creatives to develop their skills, build confidence and connect with industry professionals. Open applications are now live, with participants of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds encouraged to apply.

Learning through experimentation and curiosity, she understands how exciting, but also intimidating, music production can feel, particularly when stepping into professional studio spaces for the first time.

Erin’s involvement is shaped by her own journey as a self-taught producer. Learning through experimentation and curiosity, she understands how exciting, but also intimidating, music production can feel, particularly when stepping into professional studio spaces for the first time.

"I learnt production alone in my room as a teenager, using free software, voice memos and tiny keyboards. I learnt through playfulness, experimentation and curiosity. Music production can feel mystical, both in an exciting and overwhelming way. I'm always learning, and I'd like to extend that invitation to you." she says.

She also recognises the wider challenges facing underrepresented creatives. While there is no shortage of talent, many aspiring producers lack access to opportunities and can feel discouraged from claiming their place in the industry.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to develop your skills, Equalise offers a unique opportunity to learn alongside the female and non-binary Abbey Road team within a professional recording environemnt and working directly with artists.

Applications for Erin LeCount’s edition of Equalise are now open: Apply here.
