Last year, we formalised our relationship with Bowers & Wilkins by confirming them as the first ever Official Speaker and Headphone partner for Abbey Road Studios. The partnership marks the continuation of a long and celebrated relationship that dates back to the 1980s. Widely celebrated for their detail, honesty and clarity in the mid-high range, the Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series has long been the speaker of choice for many of the Abbey Road engineering team.

In recent months both Studios One and Three have received an upgrade to the latest 800 D3 Series, placing the latest iteration of Bowers & Wilkins’ innovation in two of our most popular studio spaces, and enabling Abbey Road to continue delivering the ultimate listening experience for our clients.

To celebrate the partnership, we will be bringing Bowers & Wilkins’ long history at Abbey Road to life with a series of films exploring the inspiration, methods and unique experiences of our award-winning engineering team. We begin with a glimpse into our engineers’ world entitled The Sound Experience, in which the team share insights, passion and knowledge from their work at the studios and the role that Bowers & Wilkins play in delivering audio excellence.

Future films will explore the music that has shaped and inspired the team throughout their recording careers, as well as more in-depth explorations of their craft.
