Undergoing music studies as soon as he could read, Martin joined Abbey Road Studios in 2023 under his placement year.

Having watched live performances and playing rhythm-based videogames, his fifth birthday marked the beginning of his musical career as he started learning classical guitar, with piano following suit. The following years would see him awarded with three MAPAS scholarships in music, and furthermore winning Rotary Club‘s Young Musician of the Year Award in 2018.

On the Registry of Guitar Tutors, Martin privately tutored and co-hosted a classical guitar club to provide younger musicians with experience, before his career diverged into recording.

Having been introduced to sound engineering by his music tutor Barry Whitfield, Martin departed his hometown Grimsby and headed for University of Surrey to read the Tonmeister course. With this new passion discovered, hard work and determination lead to him working at Abbey Road Studios, where he has since been involved in multiple projects across a plethora of genres.
