We're thrilled to announce that London-based artist Rose Pilkington has designed this year's trophy for the Abbey Road Music Photography Awards.
Winners will each receive a trophy designed by Rose, best known for her immersive multi-dimensional digital work for Romy, Jamie xx and Burberry, and for designing Instagram’s iconic gradient.
Each unique artwork reimagines the analogue gear that has shaped countless recordings at Abbey Road, magnifying and abstracting imagery of recording consoles and studio equipment in x-ray, revealing the inner workings of these iconic tools.
"The concept for the awards trophies is a celebration of the hidden craft behind music. Taking inspiration from electrical equipment and circuit boards viewed in x-ray form, the design reimagines the analogue gear that has shaped countless recordings at Abbey Road.
Photographic imagery of mixing consoles, recording devices, and other studio equipment is magnified and abstracted, creating intricate compositions that feel both technical and artistic. By revealing the inner workings of these iconic tools, the artwork pays tribute not only to the music itself, but also to the machines and craftsmanship that make it possible" - Rose Pilkington
