Composer Christopher Tin's Brand New Album, ‘To Shiver the Sky’ is Out Now!

Composer Christopher Tin has released his new album To Shiver The Sky today. The album was recorded in Studio Two and engineered by Abbey Road's senior engineer Andrew Dudman, assisted by Daniel Hayden and Matt Jones.

Recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Opera House Chorus at Abbey Road, the 11 tracks on the album are each based on the stories of 11 of our greatest astronomers, inventors, visionaries and pilots. Describing the album on his website, Tin says “it charts our relentless need to explore the universe, defy our earthly bonds, reach for the face of God, and ultimately claim our place among the stars.”.

The album’s creation was funded by a Kickstarter campaign. After fans were offered the chance to attend the recording session at Abbey Road, the original goal of $50,000 was reached in the first 36 hours. Tin then went on to raise $221,415, making it the highest-funded classical music Kickstarter campaign ever.

Tin is also putting on a digital performance of the album, presented by Washington Performing Arts on (29 August)[https://www.washingtonperformingarts.org/seasontickets/home-delivery/wpa-live/christopher-tins-to-shiver-the-sky/].
