Moderated by Keychange Ambassador and award-winning mastering engineer Darcy Proper, the panel will discuss their careers so far, challenges they’ve faced and overcome and tips for young female producers and engineers just getting started. The panel will then take questions from the live audience.

 

About the Panel

Fiona Cruickshank

Fiona Cruickshank has become a sought-after engineer among composers, artists, producers, and musicians. Notable collaborators include Nick and Ben Foster, Oli Julian, Marc Shaiman, Alex Baranowski, Keaton Henson, and Christopher Benstead.

Recent TV and film credits include Sex Education 2 for Oli Julian, ITV’s Quiz with Murray Gold, Speer Goes To Hollywood with Frank Ilfman, and recording The Tiger Who Came To Tea for David Arnold. Fiona has also worked with artists such as Jacob Collier, John Metcalfe, Imogen Heap, and Rupert Cross.
 

Dani Bennett Spragg

Dani Bennett Spragg is a 24 year old British-American recording and mix engineer.

Having trained under production giants Flood and Alan Moulder at their London studio, Assault & Battery, Dani now splits her time between being a freelance engineer and accomplice/right hand woman to analogue-obsessed producer and mixer Craig Silvey.

Her most recent clients include Malena Zavala, Blanco White, Superego and The Amazons.
 

Charlie Deakin Davies

Charlie Deakin Davies is a pop/indie record songwriter/producer and artist who recently won the European Pro Sound awards for Breakthrough Studio Engineer as well as (for the second year in a row) NMG’s Producer of the Year Award. She has also been added to the She Said So Top 100 Alt Music Power List for 2018 and 2019.

She is currently working as an in-housewriter/producer for Gary Barlow in his private studio, leading her to work across various multi-platinum selling artists throughout 2019 and 2020.

At 25, Charlie is a studio owner with many engineering and production accomplishments that include 10 albums (6 as sole producer) of which 2 are award-winning. She has also produced 25+ EPs and has produced or written 100+ commercially released tracks.
