In August 2017, Luke Kordyl from The Bloom won a day recording in our new Gatehouse Studio, as part of the Abbey Road Studios Battle of The Bands competition, in conjunction with Metro. With over 500 acts entering the competition, Kordyl was given the nod of approval from award-winning producer and Battle of The Bands head judge Nile Rodgers, who chose The Bloom as one of the top 5 finalists. The band then went on to win the competition after getting the most votes from the public. Following their self-promoted, debut single How It Starts, that received over 135,000 plays on Spotify, The Bloom have just released their follow up single Always, recorded and mixed by Abbey Road recordist Matt Mysko.
