Music has always been part of Oli’s world, writing and recording from a young age. His mastering career began when he was appointed as the first full-time addition to the team at Fluid Mastering which allowed him to develop his craft across projects for the likes of Seal and black metal pioneers Venom.

While at Fluid, Oli found that the quick turnaround of stereo mastering didn’t allow him to fully enter the world created by a song. As he continued to produce and mix tracks for himself and others, he started to combine this with his formal mastering training and explore the world of stem mastering - a specialist process that allows greater control over the sonic balance of a track. On a personal level, stem mastering allows Oli to attain a deeper understanding of a song.

Since introducing the service at Abbey Road Studios, Oli has worked on releases including BBC’s The Green Planet OST, VINCENT by FKJ, and Elton John’s Regimental Sgt. Zippo. Alongside stem mastering, Oli continues to master stereo mixes for the likes of Bastille, Olafur Arnlalds, Cian Ducrot and Hannah Grae. Vinyl cutting is still a valuable part of Oli's skillset and his cutting credits include Mike Oldfield, Olivia Rodrigo, Stereophonics and Eminem.

Oli has been a forerunner in the development of our new Dolby Atmos music mastering service. By applying his stem mastering expertise to the exciting possibilities of immersive audio, Oli is able to create Dolby Atmos masters of the highest quality. Since the launch of the new room in September 2022 he has worked on a wide range of music for FKJ, Kaiser Chiefs, Sam Smith, The Beatles, Howard Shore, Tears For Fears, A7S and The Beaches.
