A musician at heart, George grew up playing trumpet and bass guitar in bands that would go on to tour the UK, including slots at festivals such as Glastonbury and Green Man. In 2013, George graduated from the prestigious Tonmeister course in music and sound recording at the University of Surrey. Following this he went on to work as a technician at the Purcell School of Music and a runner at London's Air Studios before starting at Abbey Road in 2014.
With an eclectic music taste and an interest in the power and effectiveness of film scores, Abbey Road's broad ranging roster of musicians and ensembles was a natural fit. George has assisted on the scores for many Hollywood productions including The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (James Newton Howard), Suburbicon (Alexandre Desplat), Marvel: Dr Strange (Michael Giacchino), Interstellar (Hans Zimmer), Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Tyler Bates) and James Bond: Spectre (Thomas Newman).
George has also worked with some of the biggest names in pop, rock and dance, including Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Mura Masa, James Bay, and Underworld - the latter of which was filmed and broadcast live, whilst being pressed to vinyl in real time.
