Alice’s interest in music began when she started playing the piano at the age of five, having begged her parents for lessons from the earliest opportunity. At eight, she progressed to the trumpet, going on to perform in many ensembles throughout her school years. The increasing role of music in her life sparked an interest in the art and science of recording and, in 2015, Alice went to the University of Surrey to study the prestigious Tonmeister degree.
She first walked through the doors of Abbey Road Studios in July 2017 when she joined the team as a runner as part of the course’s placement scheme. She loves the diverse range of genres and musicians recorded at the studios and has assisted on several Hollywood film scores including Black Panther and Mary Poppins Returns. Alice has also worked with some major pop, rock and jazz artists including Gregory Porter, Slaves, Panic! At The Disco, Krept and Konan and Gavin James, as well as uttering the immortal words ‘You are now listening to Chic’ on Nile Rodgers & CHIC’s top 10 album It’s About Time.
After graduating in 2019, Alice was invited to return to Abbey Road as Senior Studio Runner. She jumped at the opportunity and has worked on many exciting projects since.
