adidas at Abbey Road

adidas believes in offering platforms for young and undiscovered talent. This premise is central to our partnership, and we are proud to be aligned with one of the most prominent sports and life-style brands in the world.

adidas and Abbey Road Studios have come together with a shared ambition to inspire the next generation of creators and allow creatives to follow in the footsteps of legendary artists who started their very own journeys in our studios.

MTV ORIGINALS

One iconic track, three original takes.

In this original series, three exciting young British artists Bow Anderson, Che Lingo and Self Esteem were given the master stems and sheet music to the iconic Queen track Radio Gaga. With the help of Queen drummer Roger Taylor, each artist recorded a unique and authentic reworking of the song in Abbey Road’s Gatehouse and Front Room studios.

The sessions further Abbey Road and adidas’ shared ambition to inspire and support artists and creatives by offering world class space and unrivalled expertise to young talent. Aided by the presence of Roger Taylor whose aim it was to find artists who “do not sound or look like most people”, the experience proved an exciting and fruitful endeavour. In what was originally intended to be a local campaign, the three-part documentary series ended up rolling out globally after being so well received upon release.

The recordings culminated in a one-of-a-kind vinyl master signed by Roger Taylor gifted to each artist in recognition of their creative vision and hard work. In January 2023, Che Lingo released his track My Radio with Queen and Roger’s blessing which will appear on his forthcoming album.
