Andrew is now Senior Recording Engineer having spent the past 21 years in the engineering team at Abbey Road after completing his Tonmeister Music degree course at the University of Surrey and has become one of the foremost British film scoring engineers.

Andrew was awarded the Pro Sound News award for 2014 engineer of the year and has also received the CAS award for Sound Mixing for Disney’s Brave and an MPSE award for his score editing on The Fellowship of the Ring from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

2018 highlights include Rampage with Andrew Lockington, Skyscraper (Steve Jablonsky), City of Lies (Chris Hajian), The Final Year & the computer game score Detroit:BecomeHuman (Philip Sheppard), the BBC’s theme music to the 2018 Football World Cup (Alex Baranowski) and completing the score and original songs for Disney’s sequel, Mary Poppins Returns with Marc Shaiman, to be released at the end of 2018.

Other recent film scoring projects include Hacksaw Ridge, Baby Driver, Into the Woods, San Andreas, Florence Foster Jenkins, Steve Jobs, classical excerpts for Mission Impossible:Rogue Nation, Jason Bourne, Burnt, Cuban Fury, The Counselor and recording the orchestral elements for Steve Price’s Oscar winning score for Gravity.

Andrew works on a wide range of computer game scores such as Bloodborne, Gods of War, Killzone3 & Unchartered 3 and has also recorded & mixed music for many theme park installations for Disney and Universal in particular.

In the Classical/Jazz genres, projects include Nigel Kennedy’s album Recital, Viktoria Mullova’s The Peasant Girl and Stradivarius in Rio and Kenny Wheeler's final album Songs for Quintet. A highlight of 2012 was recording the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra on location for Jon Lord re-recording of his Concerto for Rock Group & Orchestra

Andrew's work can work can also be heard all over TV, radio and the internet having recorded and mixed many hundreds of production library music tracks, pop projects (Professor Green, Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Underworld, Elbow) as well as classical recordings both in the Studios and on the road with Abbey Road’s Mobile Unit.
