Uberchord Engineering, from Berlin, Germany, want to change the way people learn music. Their first app combines chordal recognition with adaptive learning in a slick mobile app to create a unique way to learn to play the guitar: Uberchord's app not only tells you how to play a chord, but also corrects you when you make a mistake, learns your skill level and slowly increases the difficulty of the lessons as you improve.

But their vision doesn't stop there. Uberchord's unique learning concept is based on the notion that music is a language that we all learn to understand, but very few learn to speak: Uberchord's approach is therefore to teach <em>how music works</em>, not just how to move your fingers, and as a result helps to speed up the learning process significantly.
