'Words For You' at Number 1 in Compilation Charts
We are delighted to announce that the album Words For You, recorded at Abbey Road, has entered the official UK compilation charts at Number 1.
Words For You is a collection of 27 classic poems by the likes of Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Browning, DH Lawrence and Tennyson, read by twelve of the best voices in British acting, including Joanna Lumley, Brian Cox and Samantha Morton. The album was produced by Tris Penna and recorded, edited, mixed and assisted by Jonathan Allen. In addition, Abbey Road's Restoration Engineer, Matthew Cocker, recorded solo piano music for two of the tracks in Studio One.
The artists involved have waived their royalty so that a proportion of proceeds from sales can go to I CAN, a UK charity helping children with language and speech difficulties.
