Peter Mew - Mastering
Biography
Peter has had a long and distinguished career at Abbey Road, having originally joined the Studios in 1965. He has worked in a number of key roles within the facility. As a recording engineer he set up and worked in CD preparation in the late 1980s, and currently works predominantly on back catalogue mastering projects. As a senior engineer, Peter's role spans the breadth of mastering, working in both stereo and surround. He is involved in mastering audio for CD, DVD and SACD. Specialising in Sonic Solution restorations systems, Peter has worked with just about every sort of music and artist imaginable, from classical to pop, opera and rock from around the world. His expertise and longevity within the industry is legendary. Having been involved in some of the original recordings in the 1970s at Abbey Road and subsequent back catalogue mastering projects, his knowledge and expertise is second-to-none.
