Abbey Road Red’s New Incubator Intake

Abbey Road Red’s New Incubator Intake

28th September 2016

Today we are very pleased to introduce the newest three signups to Abbey Road Red’s music-tech startup incubation programme in the form of Scored, Qrates and The Audio Hunt.

Each company brings an extremely strong offering to the table, one that set them aside from all of the other applicants and caught the Red team’s attention, with all 3 coming from very different and exciting areas of music-tech innovation.

Scored is a next generation music library and film scoring app that allows filmmakers to dynamically control music in real time to suit their productions, Qrates is a crowdfunding platform and end to end solution for vinyl production that allows users to take pre-orders to fund the cost of production and The Audio Hunt is an online marketplace and community that gives musicians remote access to the greatest audio gear and services on the planet.

All three now join Red for six months of mentorship, support and collaboration under the guidance of its expert team, headed up by programme lead Jon Eades, and consisting of executives from both Abbey Road Studios and Universal Music Group. The team will now set about helping Scored, Qrates and The Audio Hunt with all aspects of development, providing expert guidance, introductions and access to world class facilities.

Today also marks graduation day for the first wave of companies, who joined back in March 2016, with 3D headphone company OSSIC, algorithm-based auto mastering app CloudBounce and intelligent guitar learning app Uberchord now coming to the end of what has been an exciting and highly rewarding six months.

We’re truly exhilarated to see what the next six months of building these new companies has in store, as we work closely with them to help refine their exciting products and new business offerings. Do make sure to check out the websites for Scored, Qrates and The Audio Hunt for more information.
